Support for pharmacists and pharmacy teams
Pharmacy work brings long shifts, short staffing and pressure from targets. Pharma Mate has a page written for pharmacists, and two listings matter most to pharmacy staff.
- Pharmacist Support is the charity for the pharmacy profession. The charity offers a listening service, wellbeing help and financial support to pharmacists, trainees, students and their families.
- The Pharmacists’ Defence Association gives employment and professional support to eligible members. Membership and service conditions apply.
The guides cover burnout, unsafe workload, night shifts and reviewing an employment contract.
How the support finder works
- Choose your profession.
- Choose where you work in the UK.
- Choose the kind of help you need: stress and wellbeing, peer connection, money, workplace advice, contracts or speaking up.
The finder suggests starting points. The finder does not decide eligibility, and your choices stay in your browser.
Pharma Mate is not a crisis service
Nobody at Pharma Mate staffs a phone line or reads crisis messages. In an emergency call 999. For urgent mental health help call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option in England, or call Samaritans on 116 123.
