Who owns Monj

Monj.co.uk is operated by Medstack Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16439872, at Unit 2, Eden Court, Eden Way, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4FY. Medstack also operates iGovy.co.uk, Ogovy.co.uk and Dayo.co.uk, and supports the Monjour patient community. Medstack is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any pharmacy, clinic, prescriber or pharmaceutical manufacturer, and no such company has any say over what is published or how providers are ordered.

How Monj makes money

Some listings and discount codes use referral links. If you use one, Monj may earn a small commission from the pharmacy. That is Monj’s only income. It pays for running the site and funds the charity pledge. Monj does not sell advertising space or banner ads, does not sell or rent data, does not run a mailing list, and does not operate a lead-generation or matching service that routes you to a chosen provider.

Medstack Ltd, the company behind Monj, also develops software. In healthcare this means medication safety and fraud detection systems. Medstack also builds tools for industries outside healthcare that have nothing to do with medicines. None of this work is connected to the operation of Monj or any other Medstack-run comparison site. It does not fund the sites, it is not funded by them, and no software customer, partner or investment has any influence over which pharmacies are listed, how they are ordered, or what is said about them. The sites are run as a separate activity with their own rule set, published on this page.

What commission cannot buy

• Inclusion. A pharmacy is listed because it passes the verification checks in our Editorial and Review Policy, whether or not it pays commission. Pharmacies that pay nothing are listed beside those that do.
• Position. Order is set by the published rule below. There is no paid placement, no sponsored slot and no promoted or recommended badge.
• Description. How a pharmacy is described, and what is said about its policies, is decided by what we can verify, not by what it pays.
• Silence. A commercial relationship does not stop us reporting a problem with a provider, or removing it.

The ranking rule

Price lists (the discount list, retail list, maintenance price list, price match and dose pages) are ordered strictly by the lowest total patient price at the dose and price type shown, with alphabetical order breaking ties. Total patient price means what you pay at checkout including delivery and consumables where the pharmacy charges for them; the definitions are on How Pricing Works.

Directory pages that are not price lists, such as the maintenance pharmacies directory, state their own ordering rule in a line above the list, and the order is fixed by that rule on every visit. Pharmacy discount code pages cover one provider each and are not ranked against one another.

Charity pledge

Medstack Ltd pledges a minimum of 20% of yearly profits to charity. For some listings, 100% of the commission earned is passed directly to charitable causes. The detail is on the charity pledge page.

Accuracy and verification

Every pharmacy is checked against the GPhC register and its registration certificates before listing, and listings are re-checked when a provider changes ownership, regulation or delivery standards. Prices are checked against pharmacy checkout pages on a rolling schedule and each price table shows when it was last checked. Prices on pharmacy websites can change at short notice, so confirm the final price at checkout before ordering. Privacy

You can view every price on Monj without an account, a form or an email address. Monj does not collect personal data to show prices and does not sell or share data with pharmacies. Essential cookies keep the site working; one optional analytics cookie set (Google Analytics) runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and there are no advertising or profiling cookies. The rules we work to

Monj is not a pharmacy or healthcare provider and exists to inform, not to promote. The MHRA does not approve comparison websites; responsibility for accuracy rests with us, and we work to the following:

• Human Medicines Regulations 2012, including the restrictions on advertising prescription-only medicines to the public
• The MHRA Blue Guide on advertising and promoting medicines
• General Pharmaceutical Council standards and guidance, as the benchmark for the pharmacies we list
• The CAP Code administered by the Advertising Standards Authority
• The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which replaced the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 for unfair commercial practices, including undisclosed paid rankings
• UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

Report a comparison site that is not independent

Some “comparison” websites are owned or funded by the pharmacies they list, or rank one provider as best or recommended because it pays. Presenting paid placement as an independent ranking without saying so is an unfair commercial practice under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and a breach of the CAP Code. It is unfair on patients and on the pharmacies and comparison sites that follow the rules. You can report it to:
