About Slinic

Slinic is the online weight loss clinic of Read & Simonstone Pharmacy Ltd. The company registered at Companies House in June 2009 and trades as Brierfield Late Night Pharmacy on Colne Road in Brierfield, Lancashire. That shop is an NHS community pharmacy. Slinic runs its private weight loss service from the same premises.

Pharmacist Shadeia Younis founded Slinic and leads it clinically. She is the company’s superintendent and holds an independent prescriber annotation on the GPhC register. Slinic says she has 25 years in pharmacy and 19 national awards. Its prescribers are a mix of GPhC pharmacists and GMC doctors.

Slinic treats patients anywhere in the UK, including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It does not treat patients in the Republic of Ireland. Orders go out within 24 hours of approval by tracked delivery.

Worth knowing before you order from Slinic

  • A video call comes first. Slinic books a free 10 minute video consultation with a prescriber before it approves treatment. Most online pharmacies use a form alone. Keep your camera and your current pen box or tablet pack to hand.
  • No subscription. You pay month by month with no tie-in. The monthly clinical review is part of the price, not an extra.
  • Switching has rules. Slinic only moves you between treatments for four reasons: the treatment is not working, side effects, stock problems, or your prescriber judges a change clinically right.
  • A break changes your step. After 4 to 8 weeks off, Slinic asks you to order one step lower. After more than 8 weeks, you go back to Step 1 (i).
  • Go by the basket. At our check, Slinic showed more than one set of prices on its own pages. The total in your basket is the figure you pay, so compare that.
  • Weekly injections and daily tablets. Slinic offers both routes. Your prescriber decides which one suits you.
